Music...Music...and Music..!!!

Inspired *provoked* by him, I had been searching for a movie Amadeus in bangalore/pondy streets for a long time.No luck... so, was trying here from the day-one i landed.Finally...after a long wait...its with me(Director's cut).

Truly, such an amazing piece, dedicated to music world...
Beleive me, I have seen this movie multiple times in a month span...Still, cudnt say that I am done with it;not because of story but for the Mozart's music in it. An absolute beauty.!!!

Also, wordings in the script are beautifully handled and are very appropriate.Though the movie script is widely available in net, I cudnt stop pasting some here..
[ u wud have 'that' feel, only if u get a clue of the story line :-) ]

look at these lines:

Salieri on Mozart's music:

"...As I went through the salon, I played a game with myself. This man had written his first concerto at the age of four; his first symphony at seven; a full-scale opera at twelve. Did it show? Is talent like that written on the face?"

"....Extraordinary! On the page it looked nothing. The beginning simple, almost comic. Just a pulse - bassoons and basset horns - like a rusty squeezebox. Then suddenly - high above it - an oboe, a single note, hanging there unwavering, till a clarinet took over and sweetened it into a phrase of such delight! This was no composition by a performing monkey! This was a music I'd never heard. Filled with such longing, such unfulfillable longing, it had me trembling. It seemed to me that I was hearing a voice of God."

"...Astounding! It was actually beyond belief. These were first and only drafts of music yet they showed no corrections of any kind. Not one. Do you realize what that meant? He'd simply put down music already finished in his head. Page after page of it, as if he was just taking dictation. And music fin-ished as no music is ever finished."

As said, watching Amadeus is like listening to Mozart. 8 oscars - film deserves it.!
Given a chance, NEVER miss it.!!! Amadeus - Mozart speaks.!!!
